Lost faces 1983, 20 minutes

A film by Alain Mazars.
First price at FIAC de Paris.
Special Mention at the International Film Festival of Hyères

This experimental movie is filmed like the work of alchemist painters through three portraits. The movie describes the fight of the artist, with his brush, to transform a visual memory of the faces into a painting, using techniques that look like magic.

LOST FACES is a movie full of overprint, images and poetry about memory. Two forgotten faces appear, not fully shaped, then meet and then dissolve in the troubled waters of memories. Colette Milon
